FANS French Market Day

Their Story

The Killarney Heights FANS French Market is organised by the French-speaking Association of the North Shore (FANS).  The FANS French Market Day is a fundraiser for the French/English Bilingual Program at the Killarney Heights Public School. They are committed to creating the atmosphere of an authentic market in PROVENCE with French food to eat in for example; crêpes, croissants, raclette, merguez sausage bbq.  In addition to take away food including French cheeses, saucissons, foie-gras, macarons and beautiful French bread.  Coupled with French homewares, jewellery and fashion accessories, clothes, bric-à-brac, vintage posters and small antiques.
Music is also on the agenda with French Music and local school talent and bands playing throughout the day.  The other well visited stall (or caravan) is the French books which cater for new or second-hand.  This market caters very well to children with rides and games for different ages groups, fairy floss, and snow cones!   Great to keep the kids entertained while you browse the 60+ stalls of food, fashion, home decor and much more.
The parents of Killarney Heights School are a dedicated bunch of hardworking individuals working together as a team to organise this fantastic market.   The work that goes on in the months leading up to this market is amazing and the team at this school and the French-speaking Association of the North Shore (FANS) should give themselves a big pat on the back.

When is FANS French Market Day

This market is held on the in November, rain, hail or shine!  It is well advertised by the French-speaking Association and approximately 6,000 people attend.  They come from all over Sydney to attend this market which is on the Northern Beaches of Sydney between Forestville and Frenchs Forest.
